Evan Bird

Born May 23, 2000, in Vancouver, British Columbia

When did you realize you wanted to become an actor?

When I was about four I watched Star Wars. My mom explained that it wasn't real and that it was people pretending. She said you can be anyone you want to be as an actor.

What was your first acting job?

I had a small part on Caprica with Eric Stoltz when I was nine. It made me sure that I wanted to have a career in acting.

What is the toughest job you've had?

I did a movie with Jennifer Lynch called Chained. It was very emotionally exhausting, but we still had a lot of fun on set.

What do you do besides act?

I like to snowboard, downhill mountain bike, and chill with my buddies.

What would you consider your greatest career achievement thus far?

Working with David Cronenberg and the awesome, inspiring cast and crew of Maps to the Stars.

Who is the greatest actor who ever lived and why?

In my opinion, Johnny Depp, because of his ability to create such a variety of different and original characters. Because of that, he avoids being typecast.

Have you wrestled with temptation in Hollywood?

I don't live in Hollywood.

Are you single?

Yeah, I'm single. But I'm ready to mingle.

What's your favorite urban legend?

It involves a vacation to Mexico and a toothbrush.

Is there a style icon who inspires you?

I don't base my style off anyone in particular, but I like nice clothes.

What has been the most surprising element of working as an actor?

The amount of time, people, and effort that go into such a short amount of time on screen.

What is your endgame?

I just want to keep working.
