Will Peltz

Born May 30, 1986, in New York, New York

When did you realize you wanted to become an actor?

My younger sister Nicola is an actress and would ask me to run lines with her. That was the first time I'd ever seen a script. She was nine at the time, so I would read to help her understand the overall story. Between that and running lines with her, I realized this was something I was really passionate about and wanted to pursue.

What was your first acting job?

A guest star on Medium on CBS.

What is the toughest job you've had?

I spent the beginning of a summer cleaning up my entire high school campus working on a garbage truck!

What do you do besides act?

Surfing, video games, ice hockey, hanging with my dog, Banksy...it's all pretty basic.

What would you consider your greatest career achievement thus far?

Having the opportunity to work with Jason Reitman on Men, Women & Children. I've always admired his work and I learned so much from him.

Who is the greatest actor who ever lived and why?

Meryl Streep. Her ability to completely shed herself and transform into somebody else is unparalleled.

Have you wrestled with temptation in Hollywood?

Luckily I have a really close-knit group of friends and family that keeps me grounded, so not really.

Are you single?

No.

What's your favorite urban legend?

Pop Rocks and soda!

Is there a style icon who inspires you?

Kanye when he's dressed down and Johnny Depp when he's dressed up.

Theater, TV, or movies?

I love seeing the drawn-out character development with TV, but there's nothing better than getting lost in a great movie.

What has been the most surprising element of working as an actor?

Not working.

What is your endgame?

I'm just focused on the now. I want to do work that I can be proud of.

Will Peltz appears in the indie flicks Safelight and The Outskirts, both out later this year
