Like Yohji Yamamoto and others before him, Craig Green is the latest to bring conceptual design to a sportswear brand. The designer recently teamed up with Scandinavian brand Björn Borg to present a capsule collection of 20 off-white and black pieces. On the collaboration Green says, “When the Björn Borg team asked if I was up for the challenge I just couldn’t resist. Mixing my own style with the utilitarian beauty of the Björn Borg heritage has resulted in a collection that I am very proud of.”
Green has quickly made a name for himself with his structural pieces and utilitarian flare. His debut solo show was presented in silence, and was said to have made audience members cry. That connection is not lost here, where dual looks serve as compliments, like a sartorial yin and yang.
