Over a decade after his acting debut as Jimmy Brooks on Degrassi: The Next Generation, Drake will be making a return to television with a new U.K. drama called Top Boy. The rapper recently bought the rights to the show following its cancellation by Channel 4. The second season is expected to make a return to Netflix with Drake starring in a "significant role."

Top Boy star Ashley Walters had this to say about Drake's involvement in the show: "We met up to start talking about the show and we are working out a role for him. He loves acting, of course he wanted a part. He’s going to be really hands on and is getting stuck into it."

Walters also spoke on working with the rapper saying that, "He is such a down to earth, nice guy." Grime artist  and More Life collaborator Skepta is also set to star alongside Drake in the new show.

Top Boy is set to premiere on Netflix in 2018.
