It’s official: Drake has smashed streaming records with his new album, Views. Following killer sales rumors, the album has now topped the Billboard 200 chart and holds the title for the most album streams in a single week. Getting down to specifics, songs from the album were streamed a total of 245.1 million times in the U.S alone in its first three weeks. This spike of popularity has knocked Justin Bieber off the top stop, whose album Purpose amassed over a million plays in its debut week.

Views was initially available exclusively on Apple Music and the iTunes Store, however it became accessible through all streaming platforms on May 13. With the addition of physical sales, the album's performance continues to shine on top music charts worldwide. Such admirable streaming figures mark a personal best for Drake, firmly cementing Views as one of the most important (and successful) releases of 2016 so far.
