Designer, VMAN photographer, and occasional Vetements model Gosha Rubchinskiy just announced his first signature fragrance launch with his brand's parent company, Comme des Garçons. Debuting Saturday, October 8, in London and Paris, the scent is inspired by Moscow’s culture of “young people hanging together, skating together." A hot summer day at the skate park is translated into a scent that reminisces of wheels burning on the hot concrete sidewalk, a sensual representation of youth and freedom.

The perfume will be accompanied by a book of Gosha’s own photography, a way in which he re-creates his own world. He describes the book as the “best way to explain my perfume.” The publication, dubbed plainly as Perfume Book, is a visual documentation of model Louison Savignoni on an ideal summer vacation. “The beach, some landscapes, summer and skateboard and that’s it,” says Gosha.

The post-Soviet streetwear designer likens his fragrance to the musician fandom: “Before, teenagers had a favorite band and they waited to be the first to get the new singles…They buy t-shirts not as clothes, but as a fan piece.”

The bottle itself has a wooden top, resembling a skate deck. It is priced at $88. The perfume and Perfume Book will first be exclusively available at Dover Street Market London and the Paris Trading Museum and Comme des Garçons shop this Saturday, October 8. New York and Tokyo releases will follow at the beginning of November, and will be available in all stores, internationally, this January.
