Raf Simons will be unveiling his Spring 2017 collection, and is said to be presenting a special project, at Pitti Uomo this summer. The former Dior creative director has taken part in the show in the past; he presented the Spring 2011 collection during his tenure at Jil Sander, presented a video installation, and released a book for the 10th anniversary his own brand. "Florence has a special place in my heart," Simons tells WWD, adding, "Over the years, I continued returning [to Pitti] to present my work or to collaborate on projects reflecting my personal vision."

Simons presenting a menswear show is par for the course; he has been doing so, for some time, under his eponymous line, but the real surprise is the included announcement of a "special project." What has the designer got up his sleeve? Perhaps an installation with Kvadrat, a textile brand he's been collaborating with? Time till well. Pitti Uomo kicks of June 14th in Florence.
