The xx released a short film following their eight-day residency at the O2 Brixton Academy in London. The 21-minute documentary features behind the scenes footage, live concert clips, commentary from their collaborators, including Florence Welch, Sampha, Robyn, and Jehnny Beth of Savages.

The film focuses on the artistic community in London, how it has progressed, and what it means to the group to be able to contribute to the community. "A big thing about Night + Day is that we want to edge away from it being a takeover. This is about collaborating and the community and feeding into it," said Oliver Sim. Directed by Tayo Rapoport and Josh Renaut, the film also features discussions and panels the group participated in, as well as the charities that received funds from the film.
