Watch 10 Great Super Bowl Ads Before the Big Game

The Super Bowl is known for the ads as much as the football.

Super Bowl LII is just a few days away. The Philadelphia Eagles and New England Patriots will face off on Sunday in Minneapolis. Justin Timberlake will perform the halftime show -- returning to the Super Bowl for the first time since the infamous performance with Janet Jackson in 2004. The teams playing change every year (well, at least one team is different every year. Ehem, Patriots), as does the halftime performer, but anticipation for Super Bowl commercials is consistent. Below is a look back at 10 of the best Super Bowl commercials to date.

Beyoncé Announces the Formation World Tour

Super Bowl 50 in 2016 already had Beyoncé fever because Queen Bey performed at halftime with Bruno Mars and Coldplay. But of course, Beyonce takes everything up a notch, so she used the commercial break right after her performance to announce she would be going on tour around the world in support of her new album at the time, Lemonade.

Britney Spears: Pepsi

In 2001, Britney Spears had everybody singing "ba-da-ba-ba-ba." In her "Joy of Pepsi" ad, Spears blended her "Oops I Did It Again" sound with a catchy campaign jingle, making for one of the most iconic commercial soundtracks of all time.

Cindy Crawford in 1992: Pepsi

These boys weren't the only ones who couldn't take their eyes off of Cindy Crawford.

Betty White is Hungry: Snickers

Betty White anywhere is a treasure. So, Betty White roughing it up in the mud playing football? Touchdown.

A Puppy Falls in Love With One Budweiser Clydesdale

Tears. Lots of tears. Somehow, this commercial was for beer and not an encouragement to adopt puppies, or unite puppies with horses everywhere. Who knew an alcohol commercial could make us cry?

Farrah Fawcett and Joe Namath: Noxema

In the 1970s, former New York Jets quarterback and NFL Hall of Famer Joe Namath probably would have preferred to have been playing in the Super Bowl. Instead, as Bleacher Report so perfectly described it, he starred in a Noxema ad with the late and beautiful Farrah Fawcett that was "basically an Axe Body Spray ad 35 years before someone thought of trying to claim you could spray something to make women throw themselves at you."

Clint Eastwood, "It's Halftime in America": Chrysler

The most memorable Super Bowl commercials are funny or sexy, or generally light in nature. This 2012 Clint Eastwood-narrated Chrysler commercial was the exact opposite. Eastwood was telling everybody in America what they needed to hear when he knew millions would be watching.

Michael Jordan and Bugs Bunny: Nike

This 1993 Nike commercial was Michael Jordan and Bugs Bunny's first collaboration, an appetizer to Space Jam.

Justin Bieber Celebration Expert: T-Mobile

Last year, Justin Bieber proclaimed himself the official celebration expert. The commercial featured the evolution of touchdown celebrations over time with Patriots' tight end Rob Gronkowski and former NFL star wide receiver Terrell Owens. Ahead of this commercial airing, Bieber returned to Instagram to tease it. He had deleted his Instagram the previous August.

Mean Joe Green: Coca-Cola

The original viral Super Bowl ad.
