It is officially that time of the year again. You know, when pumpkins take over porches, spiced lattes take over Starbucks, and Spirit Halloween stores take over every empty space in the mall. Whenever fall comes knocking at the front door, there is only one thing we could possibly do—invite autumn in with open arms, while holding a bowl of caramel popcorn in one hand and a TV remote in the other, that is. It’s time for the greatest fall ritual out there—a Halloween movie marathon.

One of the great bonuses that arise from a month like October is the complete free-pass to embrace all things Halloween at any point, even before that final day of the month. With plenty of days left before Halloween, there is ample time to binge all of your favorite scary classics. From The Conjuring to A Quiet Place, streamed on HBO Max or Hulu, we’ve put together the ultimate Halloween movie index including where you can find the best and most frightening options so you can spend more time screaming and less time scrolling.

  1. Insidious streaming on Hulu

A classic tale of haunting and possession, this is a can’t miss, terrifying option.

  1. Ghostbusters for rent on Amazon Prime

Is it even Halloween if you didn’t watch this iconic, spooky tale? If you’re not in the mood to spend a few bucks, the 2016 rendition of the film with Kate McKinnon, Melissa McCarthy, and Kristen Wiig is available for streaming on Hulu.

  1. Hocus Pocus streaming on Disney+

Don’t knock it until you’ve watched it. With a star packed cast—Sarah Jessica Parker, Bette Midler, Kathy Najimy—this is a timeless witches in Salem plot guaranteed to get you in a spellbound Halloween spirit.

  1. The Conjuring streaming on HBO Max

If you’re looking for a fright, try this paranormal pick set on an eerie farm—aren’t you already a little freaked out just thinking about it?

  1. Edward Scissorhands for rent on Amazon Prime

With scissor blades instead of hands, Johnny Depp does an incredible performance that warrants this a must-see for your next Halloween movie marathon.

  1. Scream streaming on HBO Max

This slasher, horror classic promises lots of screams and spine chilling moments.

  1. The Shining streaming on HBO Max

Picture an isolated hotel in Colorado, writer’s block, and a few psychic premonitions. This may make you never want to go to a hotel again, but is perfect for that cozy night at home when you’re looking for a good scare.

  1. Birdbox streaming on Netflix

A newer feature, this movie is set in a present-day overtaken by a mysterious force where if you see the creature, you die. With Sandra Bullock in the lead, it’s worth the watch this Halloween season.

  1. A Quiet Place streaming on Hulu

Similar to the aforementioned option, this Emily Blunt and John Krasinski-lead scary movie plays on the senses. This time, if the creature hears you, they come after you.

  1. Get Out for rent on Amazon Prime

Another newer scary option, Get Out has become an instant classic. A boyfriend meets his girlfriend’s family for a weekend getaway, and nothing is what it seems.
