2 Moncler 1952 Debuts Menswear FW21 Collection

Moncler’s latest collection is coined “A Collaboration with a Tokyo Mindset.”

Sergio Zambon debuts his next MONCLER GENIUS collection with a special inspiration from the city of Tokyo and the crossroads where urban style meets leisure and comfort. Zambon zoned in on two cult Tokyo brands to bring to life the 2 Moncler 1952 Menswear FW21 Collection: And Wander and Suicoke, which are known for showcasing progressive outdoor wear.

Combining playful patterns and prints with a sporty-yet-fashionable essence, Zambon also collaborated directly with artist Karo Akpokiere in the development of the playful prints of the collection. Akpokiere’s energous drawings and dynamic designs fully encapsulated the Tokyo dialogue.

This collection portrays Moncler’s legendary puffer coats with a teddy-edge around the hood, encompassing the face in a halo of spaced-out fur. It also displays the coats in other ways we haven’t seen them before with color blocked patterns, zig-zag structure and of course, Akpokiere’s newsprint design.

The concept of “resting out” is central to the collection, meaning the knitted tracksuits are meant to be worn outdoors and the slippers are made for the streets. Blanket hems and ponchos resembling duvets invite you to bring together the juxtaposition of the outside and inside.

Not limited to just clothing, the accessories of the collection also are inspired by the “resting out” concept. Beanies with giant pom-poms, padded bags and teddy bucket hats are included in the latest collection.

With textures that range from nylons, technical organza, cottons and ribbed knits, Zambon wants to define a new comfort zone, allowing you to discover while in-style. With its homage to Tokyo’s bustling metropolis and soft center, 2 Moncler 1952 is all about the connection of both.
