How did you get into modeling?

I got scouted on the street by U Models Management, which is a small mother agency owned by Mike Stallings, about two years ago coming out of college from Hofstra University.

Is this your first fashion week?

No, this is my second season in New York. I’ve done Milan as well.

What do you love about job?

I love traveling and I love meeting interesting people.

What do you like about fashion week?

It's so cool because you get all of these different people coming from different places and all of the cultures and backgrounds are brought together.

Who is the person you’ve enjoyed getting to know most while modeling?

One of the most inspirational people I've met through modeling would be—one of my friends also—Conrad Bromfield. He just told me to stay happy, stay positive, keep going no matter what.

Tell me something interesting about yourself.

I’m a really good cook. I have this Middle Eastern dish called Bahamian chicken; it's very delicious. It has a lot of flavor in it. I'm also a big sports fanatic. I played soccer, basketball, and snowboarded my whole life. I'm a Yankees fan, Lakers fan, Vikings fan, and Bruins fan.

What else are you into?

Real Estate. I worked for a law firm for about two years, so I know everything about residential and commercial properties. I want to get into real estate, buy a bunch of properties, and go from there.

What are you listening to right now?

Kanye’s new album and French Montana’s new album.

What number is this?

Two. Yeah, I think two.

What do you love about your job?

I love meeting creatives. I love the opportunity to travel while I'm young and being surrounded by creative people, trying to do new things. It's a cool environment to be in.

Where is your favorite place you’ve been?

For work or in life?

Oh in life, Yosemite. It's in California; It's a national park. For work, probably London. London is super cool. I just went to meet agencies, but I didn’t realize how big it is. But Europe in general. And if not, I went to Antwerp, Belgium, which was super cool. And Spain, I love Spain. I went to Madrid, it was super fun.

Who is the coolest person you’ve met while modeling?

The most exciting person I worked with was Peter Lindbergh. That was a really cool and interesting shoot. It was just fun to see someone with that caliber of experience and be on the other end of that. And I think just being around, but not working with—I got to watch Mario Testino shoot which is really cool, too. He's so fast and quick and knows what he wants. It's really a pleasure to watch that process. But personally, Peter Lindbergh, was really fun to work with.

Tell me something interesting about yourself.

I am a writer. I write poetry and short fiction. I am working on a collection, that’s my summer project.

What else are you interested in?

I am a huge music fan. I'm not a musician or anything in anyway, but I like music. Writing is my thing, but in general I think just being creatively curious. I like to work with a bunch of different things. I work with film and photos and writing and modeling. What else do I really love doing? Living.

Who is on your playlist right now?

I like all kinds of music. I don’t want to be the person that says that, but I do. I love Motown. Motown is my jam. I love oldies, and soul. Elliot Smith. Sufjan Stevens. I love like ESG, like an old cool disco-punk band. I grew up listening to oldies and blues and jazz with my dad, seriously grew up on Motown and Lightnin Hopkins and B.B. King. Now I'm into all kind of stuff. I don't know, that’s a hard question to answer. I really love all kinds of music.

How did you get into modeling?

I kind of just fell into it. I met with a couple agencies and got picked up after I graduated high school, I wasn’t really doing much, so I just gave it a shot.

Is this your first fashion week?

It is, my very first fashion week; it's been great so far.

What all have you been doing?

Just meeting a lot of new people and a lot of new experiences, just running around.

Who is you’ve really enjoyed working with?

I have met some other cool models, everyone I have worked with has been really cool. Other models have really helped me out and have given me a lot of advice.

Tell me something interesting about yourself?

I am really athletic. I love sports. I played basketball and track all throughout school.

What kind of music are you listening to?

I love Hip-Hop and rap. I like Kodak Black a lot.

Is this your first fashion week?

No. I came last year pretty much half way through the first week of casting, and then my Miami agency booked me during one of the big casting days when I was here. So I didn’t end up booking that many shows, so first full week.

What do you love about your job?

I love pretty much everything that doesn’t come with the modeling aspect of it. The traveling is great, the people I get to meet. I've always been the type of person who talks to everyone that I see when I travel. It's allowed me to realize that I have to take any opportunity I have. Any time during the day when I'm bored in New York City there is something to do—it's really cool in that aspect. With the modeling itself, too, I have met a lot of great people—great casting directors, models, and stylists. A lot of people I still keep in touch with.

Who is someone you have really enjoyed working with?

The person I've enjoyed the most would be the guy who scouted me at a music festival, his name is Jerry Chery. I know amazing name right? I've loved every second I've spent talking to him. I've barely seen the guy in person; I was always on the phone with him and everything, but he is always such a joy to talk with and I'm so happy he found me. There are countless people, now that I say him, that I've loved working with.

What music festival were you at?

I was al Ultra Music Festival. It is actually a ridiculous story. It was great, definitely had a headache for four days after, and I only went to two of the three days. I play squash, and I was playing the US Open, and met a kid that I told to go to the school I was going to go to next year. He ended up getting in and I was talking to him over winter break and he said are you going to be in Florida these dates and I said yeah I'm visiting my grandparents in Naples. He was like great I have an extra ticket and presidential suite. He hooked me up with a free ticket and free hotel stay that looked right down on the venue. That was the start of this whole thing.

What are you into?

I read and I write a lot.

What do you like to read and write?

I love to write creatively. I took a lot of creative writing classes in high school. I wrote a lot of poems and short stories, I loved it. I also love my alone time. With this there comes a lot of it, just traveling on your own and what not.

Where do you go to school?

I spent a year at Dickinson and I plan on going back, but I don’t know yet. I am definitely going to take a semester off of school and then plan on going back there. I loved my coach and my team and want to go back.

Is this your first fashion week?

This is my second season.

What do you love about your job?

The usual stuff, traveling is amazing. This season I have really discovered the fun side of modeling. I've met so many cool people. Last time I was traveling with my mom and this is the first season I've traveled by myself. I've been able to go out and see people and have fun and stay with other guys. It's been awesome.

Who is the person you’ve loved working with the most?

Olivier Rousteing. He is amazing. He is so sick and such a down to earth guy as well. He will just come up to you and have a chat and really connect with you, which is awesome.

What do you like to do when you're not working?

I like surfing. I'm really good at trampolining, like flips and stuff. I've been doing that since I was really little. Just classic Australian stuff like skating and surfing and just going out and seeing friends.

What are you listening to right now?

At the moment I'm really digging Chris Brown, Drake, all of that kind of stuff. Like R&B. I also like alternative. I don’t know if you have heard of Matt Corby. He's an Australian alternative singer and is so awesome.
