The AMBUSH Spring 2023 collection brings Tokyo’s evolution as a fashion and music destination to the forefront.

The city has long been the inspiration for Creative Director Yoon Ahn, who has lived there the past 20 years. The sights, sounds, and energy of Tokyo serve as the backdrop for the the spring 2023 collection, which infuses the city’s musical culture with it’s fashion sense.  The collection pays homage to the brands signature silhouettes, and also introduces some new ones.

Everything is roomier in the collection, with wide-leg nylon trousers and loose fitting tracksuit jackets and pants. Denim with sportswear hybrids alongside reimagined workwear highlight the casual, streetwear-heavy looks seen across Tokyo. Highlights of the the collection include a motorbike riders jacket remade with denim, jeans spliced with nylon, and flared stretchy pants. 

Bright, unexpected colors litter the collection, from hot pink to yellow. The pops of acid color blend with more neutral tones to add to the inspiration of ’90s of music and culture. Created for nights in thumping nightclubs, the collection has an array of miniskirts and unisex cargo pants.

Of course, the collection pays tribute to the signature AMBUSH heart, taking form in cut-outs on shirts and skirt dresses and abstractions on turtlenecks. The hybrid blends of material that the brand is known for take center stage with knits and dresses coming with the heart fastened in the center of the chest.

The ’90s inspiration carries through to the accessories, ranging from a ball chain choker with pill and mushroom charms to logo signet rings. For bags, the heart bag is back in a variety of colors and materials, along with the “A” Flap Bag, which was reinterpreted for daytime.
