Kanye West is back in the studio reportedly working on a new album called God’s Country, set to drop soon according to close source. 

The well-established videographer and artist Arthur Jafa shared the news in a recent Instagram Live conversation with French creative Michèle Lamy. In their public, back-and-forth banter, Jafa revealed he’s recently been very occupied with a video-focused project with West.

“It’s from his new record,”said Jafa, citing that the project is a separate entity to West’s Sunday Service. “It’s called God’s Country and this will be, like, the first single, I guess, off of it. I don’t know if I’m supposed to not be announcing it or whatever. I may just be spilling the beans. But yeah it’s from a new record that’s forthcoming. I don’t know when the album is coming out but the single, I think, maybe some time next week. Maybe. It’s not sure. It’s not definite.”

While Kanye has yet to make an official statement on the upcoming album’s possible release date, it’s safe to say that a highly coveted new tracklist is on the radar for the near future.
