Masters of basics and staples, Swedish fashion label Acne Studios are featuring iconic bandanas and canvas bags as the latest inspiration for a series of still and moving images shot by Anders Edström

Styled with various Acne Studios pieces, the summer accessories glow in the whimsical, sunlight photographs. Edström’s summer house on Stavsudda, an island in the Stockholm archipelago, is the destination for exploration—by ferry, city is connected to nature, a Swedish summer house where the chic, carefree attitude of Acne Studios runs wild.

Lightweight scarves integral to the brand are captured in the breeze, in square and diamond shapes with prints of paisley. Pieces from the ready-to-wear collection are styled with printed images of the scarves, culminating in a clean, sleek summer palette of blues and lilacs, greens, and pale yellows. 

Plain-colored canvas totes bring Acne Studios’ simple, minimalist style on the go: with a utilitarian yet relaxed feel, the bags in dark grey, orange, white, beige, black and burgundy are imprinted with Acne Studios’ label, heralding a life lived freely, a summer explored radically.
