Adam Sandler and LeBron James are uniting forces for a one-of-a-kind basketball movie for Netflix. The film is named Hustle and Sandler is set to the play the lead role, a source tells Variety. 

The storyline follows an esteemed basketball scout who is wrongly fired after discovering a talented foreign player. In the face of rejection, Sandler’s determined character brings the player back to the US to show the world that they can both be successful in the NBA. 

Hustle will be fully produced by Sandler’s Happy Madison, Roth/Kirschenbaum Films, and James’ and Maverick Carter’s SpringHill Entertainment. Further, Netflix extended a deal with Sandler and Happy Madison to produce four more new movies.
