adidas Skateboarding and Fucking Awesome Debuts Collection

adidas Skateboarding by Fucking Awesome Sherpa Collection takes influence from adidas’ 80s silhouettes and Jason Dill’s creative vision.

Can’t wait to get your hands on some new styles? Look no further. adidas Skateboarding and Fucking Awesome have teamed up for a new collaboration, now available for purchase. The apparel piece showcases itself through the lens of Fucking Awesome founder Jason Dill while reimagining adidas heritage silhouettes from the 1980s. The fleece jacket and pant style set with idiosyncratic orange-hued elements brings together the adidas three-strip emblem and Fucking Awesome’s signature aesthetic to present a camo-inspired fit.

In a press statement for V, the legendary skateboarder and adidas team rider discussed the set’s creative direction. “For the adidas by FA collection, I tried to bring things that I liked about the brand from when I was young like when Bob Marley, Desmond Decker and Peter Tosh were wearing adidas,” he said. “I just tried to form this collection around what I liked from that era.” He also shared the importance of design distinction, stating: “You don’t want to do what other people are doing. You want things to look significantly different and eye-catching, and I think we landed that. If Nak [Na-Kel Smith] likes something I made, I’ve done my job.”

adidas Skateboarding by Fucking Awesome Sherpa collection drops today, March 16th on fuckingawesomestore.com and March 18th on www.adidas.com/skateboarding as well as select retailers.
