Mirrored alongside the pre-AW22 collection, this collection poses as a sort of look-book into McQueen’s official Autumn/Winter 2022 Campaign. Emphasizing the early visions McQueen and the iconic essence of the late fifties and early sixties Soho, the designer turns to George Dyer and John Deakin for reference.

George Dyer essentially posed as the grand muse for Francis Bacon during the early 1960s. Likewise, John Deakin, the photographer, whose work was centered around capturing the members of Francis Bacon’s (Soho) inner circle, which included Dyer at the time. The legacies of both artistic icons remained a source of inspiration for the ingenious mind of Alexander McQueen during the creation of this collection.

Woven in the thread of this collection are the initials of the studio team, provoking an element of thoughtful groundedness which is prominent throughout the collection. McQueen focused on precise tailoring and gracious silhouettes; fitted, oversized and with asymmetric drape and detailing.
