AMI Brings French Flair To Paris Fashion Week

AMI’s unveils their Fall/Winter 2022 collection, embracing tradition and nodding towards modernity

Parisian luxury brand AMI took over runway at Paris Fashion Week, transforming the space into an elevated reality of minimalistic architecture and chic neutrals. Founded in 2011 by Alexandre Mattiussi, the luxury brand blurs the lines between casual chic, offering mens and womenswear that encapsulates a French nonchalance, relaxed and authentic. The Fall/Winter 2022 collection, inspired by the everyday styles and people in the métro—a mirror to the city’s style and host to developing trends—boasted sleek lines and classic designs paired with pops of vibrant colors and dynamic shapes. Nodding to quintessential Paris, Mattiussi describes the space as an “urban ballet, where everyone, regardless of age, origins and social status, mingles and coexists in ephemeral, fortuitous encounters.”

AMI, the French word for friend, reinterpreted its traditional sophisticated style as long trenches, elongated lines, sleek shapes and solid vibrants were the theme of the runway. Patterns were scarce and colorblocking was bold, allowing for a mix-and-match of evening and everyday wear. Classic silhouettes with innovative shapes elevated chic casuals into fashion-forward garments perfect for a variety of settings. AMI delivered originality at Paris Fashion Week, with a transcendental show that encapsulated modernity and a versatile line to bring Parisian flair to any wearer.
