Portland-born rapper, artist, director, and cultural innovator Aminé made his TV debut of his new single “Woodlawn” medleyed into “Burden” on Jimmy Kimmel Live!—from over 2,200 feet above the ground.

The 5-time platinum artist honored the lives of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Trayvon Martin, Michael Brown and Sandra Bland with his performance, cruising above Los Angeles in a hot air balloon plastered with flags of different countries, Black Lives Matter messaging and world religion symbols while he performed.

His new single “Woodlawn” was be melanged with “Burden,” the opening track of Aminé’s Limbo album that debuted at #16 on Billboard’s Hot 100 Chart when it was released in August. Described as his “sophomore-ish LP,” Limbo follows-up his 2017 debut album Good For You and 2018 mixtape OnePointFive.

Pre-Limbo release, the smooth-vocaled, fresh-sounding rapper was best known for his debut single “Caroline,” which reached number 11 on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart.
