An Ode to Life on the Go: Off-White™ Pre-Fall 23
This marks Ib Kamara’s first Pre-Fall collection.
Ib Kamara, Off-White™’s new art and image director, unveils his first pre-collection under the brand, paying extra care to refinement and sleekness. With a meticulous attention to detail, Kamara builds this collection around the idea of modern humanity and the tendency to always live on the go.
Although the pieces carry an air of refinement, they remain true to their Off-White™ roots. Premium leather motocross jackets and varsity jacket lookalikes meet asymmetric skirts and pleated trousers, highlighting the importance of movement in our everyday lives. Signature Off-White™ energy livens up formal tailoring via removable harnesses and utilitarian-focused buckles.
Here we see Kamara’s continuation of the late Virgil Abloh’s work, as exaggerated graphics cover classic wardrobe pieces such as hoodies and t-shirts. Cargo pant-inspired multi pocketed pieces add to the utilitarian feel of the collection, while a jaw dropping, velvet blue dress nods to the sleekness of Kamara’s vision.
Inspired by our dependence on delivery – whether that be Postmates or online shopping – this “Lunar Shipping” collection marked a polished start to Kamara’s stint at Off-White™.
