Apple Steps it Up with the New iPhone 12 Pro and 12 Pro Max

The new models take the same 5G capabilities of the iPhone 12 and 12 Mini, while adding greater photography and connectivity features.

There’s a new line unveiled in the market, but it’s not from your favorite designer. After years of waiting, Apple finally decided to shake things up in the tech world again with their new iPhone 12 line.

The standard iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Mini were the first to be revealed. The phones boast less bezel count and more screen than the 11’s and now possess 5G capabilities. As a result, the design has been more streamlined, made smoother and flatter so as to accommodate for the shifting around of the trademark physical features of the phone.

But with the standard launches come the big guns, the iPhone 12 Pro and 12 Pro Max. The 6.1 inch Pro and the 6.7 inch Pro Max come with a greater focus on structural integrity, with a stainless steel band, matte glass back, and a ceramic shield front cover, to give the device more strength and increase drop performance.

The two come with greater 5G capacity than their standard counterparts, and also greater cameras. The Pro Max, in particular, has a 12MP telephoto lens that can optically zoom in up to 2.5 times. Both phones can also shoot and edit in Dolby Vision HDR. This enhances the phone’s experience as a filmmaking tool and for professional photography purposes.

Apple announced the phone’s launch with a short film shot and edited on the iPhone 12 Pro by Oscar-winning cinematographer, Emmanuel Lubezki. You can watch the film below:

The iPhone 12 Pro will start selling at $999 USD and the iPhone 12 Pro Max at $1,099 USD, with 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB storage options. You can check out the new iPhones on their website.
