Astroworld Fest 2019: VMAN Recap

Travis Scott with a new single featuring Migos and Young Thug, Kanye West with a surprise performance.

This weekend, Travis Scott has debuted a new track in collaboration with Migos and Young Thug. The single dropped during the second annual Astroworld Festival that took place on November 9 at NRG Park in Houston, Texas.

This isn’t the first time Migos and Travis Scott collaborate on a song. They have done so multiple times in the past, and just last month, a track titled “Speaking of the Devils and Angels” was leaked online. The song was taken down shortly, but the fans were fast to notice that the new track featured verses from each Migos member along with bars from Scott.

This year’s fest was full of wildness and surprise. For starters, the fest sold out of 50,000 tickets weeks in advance, before the lineup was even announced — which did not disappoint and even exceeded the expectations of many. Travis brought together an exceptional crew of performers including Marilyn Manson, Gucci Mane, Pharrell, Playboy Carti, Megan Thee Stallion and even maestro Kanye West — with a special performance (he wore the yet-to-be-released YEEZY Foam Runner, too).

The rapper started off with “Follow God,” a single off of his latest Jesus Is King album and then performed “Can’t Tell Me Nothing” from Graduation, leaving the crowd in a state of blissful awe. Watch the impromptu performance below:
