For the Rick Owens Autumn Winter 2020 collection at Paris Fashion Week Men’s on Thursday, the designer pulled inspiration from the mind behind David Bowie’s get-ups during his mid-70s Spiders From Mars years: Japanese designer Kansai Yamamoto. With blazers featuring higher than life shoulders and punk-rock hair, Owen’s collection fully embodied rock’s most fashion-forward moments. 

Models displayed the asymmetrical jumpsuits, contrasting corals with electric blues and futuristic platforms through the halls of the Palais de Tokyo, which Paris dedicates to modern and contemporary art. With the museum’s Art Deco theme behind it, the collection thrived and Owens’ vision became one with reality.
