Black Sabbath Releases Their “Black Lives Matter” Tee

All proceeds will be donated to the Black Lives Matter Global Network Foundation.

At the time where the outcry against police brutality and systemic racism is omnipresent, many are trying to find ways to support the movement: big corporate giants like Starbucks releasing their versions of Black Lives Matter apparel, creatives calling for policy changes across industries. Now, the British heavy metal rock band Black Sabbath has released a charitable T-shirt to support the cause.

Inspired by the band’s Master of Reality album, the black T-shirt features purple “Black Lives Matter” lettering in wavy block font — the same one that was used on the 1971 album cover. All of the proceeds from sales will be donated to the Black Lives Matter Global Network Foundation, a movement that fights for the justice, freedom and liberation of all Black lives.

The tee is now available for pre-order on the band’s own website for $25 apiece, with shipments expected to roll out around July 14, 2020.
