Blood Orange Reimagines Tame Impala’s “Borderline”

Listen to how Blood Orange’s Hynes put his own spin on the stand out track from Tame Impala’s most recent album.

In February Tame Impala released their highly anticipated album The Slow Rush, and have since been embracing remixes to its tracks. The latest of those remixes is Blood Orange’s Devonté Hynes putting his own spin on “Borderline.”

Before Hynes produced and layered more guitars, bass, and synth—alongside added percussion from Aaron Maine—to the track, Tame Impala’s Kevin Parker had redone the album’s opening track “One More Year” into an 18 minute version that came out in May. Other remixes from The Slow Rush include Four Tet’s reworking of “Is It True.”
