For the past year-and-a-half, Emily Bode has been the driving force behind her eponymous menswear line Bode. The FW18 collection, titled “Dear Homer”, delves into the mind of a Harvard-educated botanist, whose studies turn to examining humans and plants.

Creating an arresting display of momentum, Bode continues her trajectory of plunging into the world of textiles by devising vintage flannels that were fashioned into shirts and trousers, along with a display of silken bows that melded wonderfully with Ivy League blouses and tapestry-inspired coats. Bode’s immense fortitude and passion for vintage is one design aspect she’ll never shed—going so far as to create an archive system that will detail each piece of clothing and the origin of the textile used. Click through to see the visually striking collection in full.
