BOSS Takes to Miami for Star-Studded Spring/Summer Collection

Reimagined brand staples meet Miami-inspired hues and patterns to curate a fresh collection

Featuring an aquatic-themed runway, walls of water, pinstripes, and pastel hues, BOSS’ Spring/Summer 2023 collection found inspiration in the beach-side city of Miami where the show took place. Unveiled before a group of more than 500 guests, the brand embraced the art of duality when crafting the collection, using the concept to reimagine their traditional men’s tailoring by incorporating sheer fabrics and a structured yet sublime sense of allure.

The overall assortment of suiting and shirts presented a sleek and sophisticated idea of what it means to become and embrace the spirit of self-determined individuality in an ever-changing world, the pieces equal parts statement makers and classics. In an overall modern reinvention of the brand’s traditional tailoring, BOSS turned to the past in order to step boldly into the future, imagining silhouettes that drew on timeless sensibilities while remaining refreshingly modern. Largely due to the experimentation with fabrics such as nylons and linens, the clothes remained light and airy, flowing atop the models.

Seen on the star-studded runway that included a range of athletes and celebrities (Khaby Lame, DJ Khaled, Ezra Frech, and Caleb Williams to name a few), the brand reinvigorated their signature neutral color palette of white, black and beige with warm, powdery hues that reflected Miami’s Art-Deco architecture and breathed new life into the silhouettes. As seen on model Jordan Barret, alluring sheer fabrics in dark hues brought an intricacy to staple shirt wear, while celebrity stylist Law Roach donned a light, relaxed suit silhouette that was a major focus in the collection. While staples like the trench coat and suit jacket were ever present, oversized vests and baggy Bermuda shorts stole the show, curating a casually put-together aesthetic perfect for the warmer months. Layered suit jackets and sheer tops further established that easy breezy attitude, while the brand’s stronghold pillars of tailoring ensured a balance between the new and the known.

“The BOSS Spring/Summer 2023 collection is a fluid revisitation of the brand’s heritage tailoring while offering a ‘see now, buy now’ approach to key pieces,” said Marco Falcioni, SVP of Creative Direction at HUGO BOSS. “One of the underlying motifs that inspired the collection is the exquisite tension that lies between contrasting elements, such as solid and fluid states; land and sea; opaque and transparent; past and present. This powerful juxtaposition serves as the cornerstone of a new exploration in prints, tones, and textures, opening the door to a world that invites a creative, visual dialogue. It is a sartorial reflection in looking back to move boldly forward into the future and embody the spirit of a true BOSS.”

In addition to a number of celebrity sightings on the runway, front-row attendees included Maluma, Demi Lovato, Charles Melton, Camila Morrone, and Suki Waterhouse. The brand also focused on social creators such as Lele Pons, Joey Graceffa and Alix Earle as they live-streamed their show across various digital platforms, including Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Twitter, and LinkedIn, as well as on hugoboss.com, where selected items were made available for immediate purchase.

The latest collection is now available online at boss.com and in-store at BOSS retail points around the globe.
