Upcoming singer-songwriter Brandon Banks has given us an exclusive first taste of his forthcoming EP Tides with his newly released single "Autumn." Hailing from Inglewood, Calif., the 23-year-old is ready to bare his soul through his music, pairing brutally honest lyrics with bass-driven melancholic beats inspired by the likes of Stevie Wonder and Sade.

On the release of his new single, Banks says "Autumn" is "...a track that explores the duality of my life, looking back in the past as well as the present." The video, directed by Kuba Bojsza & Aus Taylor, is an "existential mosaic" that explores the power of nature as a remedy for the unprecedented, mendacious influences that exist in modern social settings and scenes.

"For me, music is freedom and 'Autumn' represents old things; past demons, pain, anger, relationships falling away (autumn leaves) giving birth to new life, and a new mindset," says Banks. His EP Tides aims to further explore the journey he's taken to regain his vulnerability and paint a portrait of where he calls home and the experiences that have shaped him as an artist today.
