Burberry Announces the Launch of Their New Book ‘Burberry’

The book celebrates the brand’s heritage with luxury book publisher Assouline as the new coffee table book will launch in late March.

The launch of ‘Burberry’ commemorates the brand’s heritage,  journey, and all the characteristics that make up the British luxury fashion house since 1856 by 21-year-old Thomas Burberry. The book will be published with luxury publisher Assouline known for transforming the art of coffee table books and their highly aesthetic travel collection that resulted in a cult following. The pairing goes perfectly in the creation of the five chapters and 200 illustrations of Burberry’s history and archive. The linen slipcase is an up-close photo of the brand’s definitive and signature trench coat along with a linen hardcover of the Burberry check.

The book is written by fashion journalist, author, and critic Alexander Fury who is the Fashion Features Director of AnOther Magazine and has written other books like Vivienne Westwood Catwalk and Zuhair Murad. Along with Fury is a foreword by Carly Eck who is the brand curator at Burberry; “Burberry is a story of creativity, exploration, innovation, and community – all of which continue to be at the heart of the brand. In unearthing a dormant treasure trove, countless gold nuggets have been revealed. This book, the only one to be endorsed by the brand in recent times, presents a panorama of the company’s extraordinary heritage, which deserves to be widely celebrated. It’s the stuff of legends” says Eck in the press release.

After Burberry had appointed Daniel Lee as Chief Creative Officer in 2022, Lee, known for successfully reviving Bottega Veneta as previous creative director, led the brand to keep viewers on the edge. The British designer is now tasked with the rebranding of Burberry as Lee recently debuted his first collection in February. There is excitement and anticipation in seeing Burberry’s future with the refresh of Daniel Lee overseeing collections, along with the launch of the new book reminding us of Burberry’s classic and rich history after 165 years with its continuous growth today. The coffee table book is now available for pre-order at assouline.com and to buy online and in stores on March 28th at Assouline and Burberry.
