Familiar faces decorate Burberry’s latest outerwear launch. Titled “It’s Always Burberry Weather: Postcards from London,” the cinematic campaign stars Oscar-winning actress Olivia Colman in the role of several eccentric locals — including a keyboardist, tour guide, cricket enthusiast, and chip shop server. In a series of vignettes, she interacts with tourists played by Amelia Gray, Tyson Beckford, Lucky Blue Smith, Mona Tougaard, and Liu Wen.

The campaign’s four short films were directed by John Madden, whose previous credits include 1998 romcom Shakespeare in Love and 2021 thriller Operation Mincemeat. Each portrays London encountered by first-time visitors, highlighting the city’s charms and traditions. In one film, Lucky Blue Smith plays a confused American tourist at a chip shop. Colman, behind the counter, educates him on classic British menu items, such as saveloy.

The stars of the campaign films don the new outerwear collection, which features styles including the Castleford trench, the Kensington trench, and the new Fitzrovia coat reimagined in an A-line style. Heritage styles and new offerings appear alongside each other in a range of classic colorways including camel, navy, and black.

Amelia Gray wears the Floriston quilted jacket, Liu Wen wears the Fitzrovia trench, Lucky Blue Smith wears the Snowdon puffer jacket, Mona Tougaard wears the Berryhill padded car coat, Tyson Beckford wears the Chestwood trench coat, and Olivia Colman wears the Castleford trench in signature Burberry beige.

In addition to the campaign films, Burberry will also open heritage-inspired pop-ups to celebrate the launch. The shops’ interiors will be inspired by the brand’s Winter 2025 show, as well as the British railways — a nod to founder Thomas Burberry. The outerwear collection is now available to shop online.
