Byredo Is Dropping Its New Collector’s Perfume Soon — So Major

You’ll want to mark your calendars for this launch.

You’ve probably seen the buzzy brand name BYREDO floating around in the news lately. The Stockholm-based luxury brand is known for its clean fragrances and scented products, as well as clever accessories like handcrafted blankets and horn combs. Most recently, the brand has also released its inaugural makeup line in collaboration with trailblazing makeup artist Izamaya French. Now, the European luxury company (and the maker of one of V Magazine’s favorite summer scents) is dropping a new, reimaged, and remastered Collector’s Edition of Blanche Eau de Parfum, released in conjunction with a photographic campaign by fashion photographer Kacper Kasprzyk. The Swedish photo creative has an impressive body of work, having previously worked with the likes of Michèle Lamy, Marimekko, and Sies Marjan.

The fragrance is a longstanding icon in the Sweden-based brand’s catalog, and the new campaign shows the radically liberated, subversive exploration of beauty and strength. Ben Gorham, founder and creative director of BYREDO, shared in a statement: “With Blanche, I wanted to capture the idea of texture and fabric and skin — and to translate a level of intimacy which is very human.”

With notes of aldehyde, violet, and sandalwood, the revitalized Blanche combines the delicate scent of rose centifolia with the intimacy-provoking notes of cyclamen and musk. This results in a uniquely clean and crisp fragrance that juxtaposes softness and strength. All in all, the fragrance encapsulates a unique exploration of beauty and strength, which translates into an intimate expression of human reality.

Showcasing UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship) heavyweight fighter Ilir Latifi alongside professional dancer and bikini fitness athlete Rebecka Eklund, the campaign conveys a novel perspective (that is so distinctly BYREDO) on this pure human physicality. Take a peek at the re-invented Collector’s Edition BYREDO Blanche below, and mark your calendars for the fragrance’s official drop in early July.
