PROSPECT 100, a global design competition platform, announced a call for applications for their newest NFT competition. The competition was created in partnership with Ukraine’s Ministry of Digital Transformation, who will receive 100 percent of the proceeds. All proceeds will benefit both the Ukrainian Armed Forces and the citizens of Ukraine.

The idea came about after Ukrainian Vice President Mykhailo Fedorov tweeted on March 3 that Ukraine would look into selling NFT’s to support the Armed Forces. The founders of PROSPECT 100, which was created to be a contemporary fundraising tool during the COVID-19 pandemic, saw the tweet and decided to take matters into their own hands.

“We immediately realized that, given our network of designers on a global scale, we might be able to help generate really high quality artworks in a rapid time frame for the government to assist their cause,” co-founder Alexandre Daillance told Highsnobiety.

Applications for the competition should be digital art pieces that are inspired by a selection of 25 provided news sources which relate to Russia’s ongoing invasion of the Ukraine. In addition, applicants must pledge to donate their artwork to the NFT Community of Ukraine.

Submissions will be judged by a panel that includes Adrian Joffe of COMME des GARÇONS and Dover Street Market, Hiroshi Fujiwara of Fragment, meme legend FuckJerry, and contemporary artist Daniel Arsham. The winning 100 artworks will be donated to the Ministry, who will facilitate the sales of each to benefit the Armed Forces.
