Canada Goose Announces First-Ever Footwear Collection, Launching in November

Here’s your first look at the winter clothing company’s two new pairs of boots to get you through a long, cold winter.

Canada Goose is set to launch its first-ever footwear apparel on Nov. 12, including two different types of boots, the Journey Boot and the Snow Mantra Boot, to help you thrive in the outdoors every single day. Available in both men’s and women’s shoes, these two new pairs of boots serve as a nod to the brand’s roots while showing their continuous evolution.

The Journey Boot is a luxury performance hiking boot, perfect for wearing on the daily, coming in black, white, and nude tones for women, and black, gray and white, and nude tones for men. Deriving inspiration from arctic and alpine boots, the designers modeled the shoe after heritage hikers from Montebelluna, Italy, where these types of shoes originate. In terms of details, this shoe has a slightly squared-off toe, and includes grip technology, traction, and bespoke leather compounds, plus they’re fully waterproof, as the full upper is directly laminated to a waterproof HDry® membrane.

However, they’re also comfortable – the design includes leather lining, making it easier to break in, as well as a plush collar. The diamond “wave” texture across the base of the sole reduces weight, and the outsole’s deep tread provides a great grip and flexibility. Additionally, the reflective laces add visibility in low light, but the pair comes with a second pair of flat laces for different occasions. The Thermal Experience Index, which is their special index determining the warmth of the product, is 2 out of 5, meaning it will keep you warm in 0 to -15 degrees Celsius. Made of responsibly-sourced leather, these shoes will be perfect for all of your hiking dreams.

On the flip side, the Snow Mantra Boot is modeled to perform in extreme elements, but is stylish enough to wear in a city or urban environment, available in black, red, and white shades for both women and men. “The pinnacle expression of Canada Goose footwear,” this pair will keep your toes warm in the most extreme cold weather and they’ll go with most of the outfits you’re mentally planning right now. Made with high-grade leather and recyclable components such as the rubber on the outsole, these babies are fully waterproof, with the same HDry® membrane.

These shoes target insulation where your foot needs it the most, but they’re also designed to be as lightweight and durable as possible. The outsole is designed for grip, cushioning, and flexibility, and the siped texture on the surface adds traction on wet or icy surfaces, while the tread pattern allows the sole to flex with the foot. Plus, there are four different wearing options, whether you want to fasten your shoes with a zipper or tie. The Thermal Experience Index for this pair is 5, so it will keep you warm in -30 degrees Celsius and below. Regardless of how you style this pair, one thing’s for sure: you’ll be warm.

The Canada Goose Footwear collection will be launching Nov. 12 in North America, the UK, and the European Union, and on Nov. 11 in Asia-Pacific. Starting Oct. 22, Canada Goose Basecamp members will be able to shop the pre-sale through CanadaGoose.com, where limited quantities of the Snow Mantra and Journey Boots will be available through Oct. 27.
