With many brands shifting to personalized garments, it’s no surprise that Canali has followed suit. Me by Canali is a new program allowing customers to get directly involved in the creative process by allowing them to create their own garments. 

Customers can choose the pattern, material, and fit of their garments to build a personalized wardrobe. With a selection of 500 fabrics including permanent and seasonal fabrics for the formal collection, 10 knitwear patterns for 3 yarns (cashmere, cashmere-silk-wool, and Sea Island cotton) in 20 colors, 250 shirt fabrics, and 20 different collars, in addition to outerwear and denim, the customization possibilities are endless. 

Using made-to-measure technology, measurement information is taken and sent to Canali laboratories in Sovico. Turn around time is about four weeks, at which time the customer can come in for a fitting session for any last-minute adjustments. For loyal bespoke customers, an MTM specialist will send them a customized kit with a selection of fabrics that they feel best reflects the customer’s preferences. 

Canali’s personalized experience is part of a larger movement of responsible consumption in which we prioritize quality over quantity. The suit brand will also be offering repairs and size changes to the clothing to extend the lifespan of these garments, making a positive impact on consumption.
