Cartier Launches Clash [Un]Limited Collection With Immersive Exhibit Soundtracked by Finneas

Lily Collins, Dan Levy, and more attended the exclusive opening of the multi-room experience that gives insight into the craftsmanship behind the new pieces.

Cartier is celebrating the launch of its new Clash [Un]limited and Clash de Cartier collections with an immersive exhibition in West Hollywood. Designed by Snarkitecture, the exhibit takes visitors on a multi-room experience and offers an exclusive close-up look into the collections’ new pieces, all to a soundscape specially produced and created by Finneas.

The Clash [Un]Limited capsule collection is a rebellious take on classic forms, featuring bold shapes, exaggerated volumes, and dark, oversized studs. The concept channels extreme tension and the clash of opposite attitudes translated into geometric lines combined with inflated formats.

Pieces on display include a reversible high-jewelry white gold necklace with onyx and diamonds, the “Mitten” watch in rose gold mesh and diamonds, conical onyx rings with diamond inlay, and studded bracelets, along with earrings, bracelets, and rings in white gold and amethyst.

On Tuesday, Cartier held an exclusive dinner and offered guests a firsthand look at the exhibit. The intimate rooftop event also featured a special performance by Finneas, the house’s creative collaborator for the Clash [Un]limited project. He was photographed wearing pieces from the Clash [Un]limited collection in the exhibition space by Renell Medrano exclusively for the Maison.

“To me, Clash represented the opportunity to redefine and rediscover what it is about art that moves me the most. In crafting this piece, my intention was to create something that flowed seamlessly between the different sonic landscapes that have inspired me most throughout my life,” the musician said of the exhibit in an official press statement. “The power of a delicate piano, the aggression of an overdrive guitar and the pulsing heartbeat of an electric leaning dance track.”

Lily Collins, who was recently announced as the face and global ambassador of the Clash [Un]limited collection, also attended the party. “I try to be bolder with the choices I make, the things that I say, and the decisions that I make every day,” the actor told V in an exclusive interview you can read here. “It felt that there was this kind of relationship between the message of the collection and myself, where there’s sentimentality and a symbolic value to each piece.”

Other guests in attendance at the star-studded dinner included Dan Levy, Kathy Hilton, Nicky Hilton, Ella Balinska, Ashe, Gracie Abrams, Benny Blanco, Claudia Sulewski, and Renell Medrano. The menu was curated by Michelin-starred chef Curtis Stone and inspired by the Clash de Cartier collection and the restaurateur’s philosophy of sustainability and fresh ingredients. For dessert, guests enjoyed one-of-a-kind high gloss black chocolate picot domes filled with matte silver mini macarons by chef Chris Ford.
