Casablanca, Charaf Tajer’s lux and leisurewear brand, is launching their stunning Fall/Winter 2021 collection on Oct. 29 inspired by none other than the iconic Monte-Carlo. With tailored suit jackets and trousers in an array of luxurious colors, this collection epitomizes the Monaco style. Picture the world’s greatest race car drivers or the flashiest gamblers and tycoons, all set within the jaw-dropping, renowned casinos. From this vision, Casablanca’s collection was born.

“Shooting this campaign in a building designed by architect Carlo Scarpa was a dream come true,” says Tajer. “The way he took an impossible, almost untouchable city and left a modern imprint is comparative to the way we design.”

It’s all in the details with careful tailoring and a bit of French riviera, casino aesthetic. Accents from playing cards, like the iconic diamond shape, don pieces from the harlequin suit jacket and trouser to the buttons that embellish suits. Coats and suit jackets come in an array of bright and rich shades from pink to green to blue, further emulating a glamorous, ’70s evening affair akin to one in Monte-Carlo.     

“Tailoring for us is extremely important,” shares the founder, Tajer. “Part of our creative process has always been to take classic elements of fashion and applying our modern take on them. For us, the challenge and pleasure of making a suit is bringing it into the modern world through the lens of Casablanca.”

Pieces from the collection are made from lavish fabrics including silk blends and Australian merino yarns. The suit in a vivid green shade was crafted using an artisanal weaving technique manufactured in the Italian based mill, Ricceri. The coats and trousers in Alaskan Blue, Candlelight Peach, and Persimmon were made at the fabric mill Raphael to produce such vibrant colorways. Every item is also a certified part of Casablanca’s work with The Woolmark Company, ensuring quality wool.
