It's the fourth year of LOEWE's new Eye LOEWE Nature line, an offshoot of their ready-to-wear clothing. These pieces are routinely focused on embracing the outdoors, blending practicality and style into high-end, outdoor apparel. This year, they have added a new element to the mix: sustainability.

“The Loewe man, in my vision, is an escapist just as much as he is practical: someone who loves adventures, of any kind, and has a fondness for the great outdoors,” wrote creative director Jonathan Anderson.

With a strong focus on upcycling, LOEWE's Fall/Winter line has this time opted for a military theme. Parkas are made from military jackets. T-shirts use cotton derived from production discards. The polyester in the knitted jackets comes from recycled plastic bottles.

“We have upcycled military tents in order to build these pieces, each one different from the other. From patchworks of existing flannel check shirts, a series of new shirts has been developed. We have carried the upcycling ethos in accessories, too, crafting a convertible bag out of camouflage army jackets and a tote from vintage fleece jackets," said Anderson.

The collection includes jackets, shorts, bags, and bucket hats, as well as a few pairs of army boots. While most of the items bear no hints of their sustainable background, key pieces, like the parkas, cargo pants, and flannels, feature elaborate patchwork designs, each entirely unique.

For every item in the line sold, LOEWE pledges to donate 15 euros to environmental causes. It is available to shop now on their website. Check out some of the items below.
