Check Out The MTV Movie And TV Awards Nominees

Wandavision, Emily in Paris, and The Boys sweep the nominations — plus MTV honors reality shows with an Unscripted segment.

Albeit delated, awards season is still in full swing this spring. MTV has announced their list of nominees for the 2021 Movie and TV Awards show, airing May 16.

Television dominated the nominations this year, with Wandavision leading the pack at five nominations. Netflix’s hotly debated Emily in Paris and Amazon Prime’s The Boys are also celebrated, racking up four nods each. Other noteworthy nods include the late, great Chadwick Boseman for Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom and first-time nominees Anya Taylor-Joy (The Queen’s Gambit), Zendaya (Malcolm and Marie) and Michaela Coel (I May Destroy You)

Reality TV will get its shining moment for the first time this year, with MTV introducing an Unscripted segment. RuPaul’s Drag Race dominates with four nods, followed by other favorites like 90-Day Fiance and Bling Empire.

While the list of hosts are yet to be announced, the show will be hosted at the Palladium in L.A. at 9 p.m. EST, May 16. The Unscripted edition will air at the same time on the following night, May 17.
