Coach Unveils a Cosmopolitan Collaboration with BAPE

Japan’s leading streetwear brand meets America’s house of leather.

America’s original house of leather meets Japan’s streetwear trailblazer for a collaboration no one saw coming: BAPE x Coach. A celebration of established heritage, the collection of leather accessories and ready-to-wear pieces represent a fusion of the established codes of both brands. The collaboration pays respect to both brands’ hometowns of New York City and Tokyo while melding the shared spirit of unexpected urban style present in both cities.

Each crossover iteration brings to life the legacies of each brand in a companionate fashion. Featuring an interpretation of Coach’s Signature pattern crossed with BAPE’s Ape Head logo, rendered in camouflage, khaki and rainbow jacquard, statement jackets and accessories certainly draw attention to the range. As for the stand-out pieces, a down puffer jacket in leather, BAPESTA sneakers, and backpacks in Coach’s Academy style elevate this unanticipated collaboration.

Accompanying the collection’s drop is a worldly lookbook that further bridges the brands’ two contrasting cultural belongings. In captivating imagery, all of which were shot by photographer Quil Lemons, model and songwriter Kōki sports the collaborative designs in the Ebisu District of Shibuya in Tokyo and actor/musician Quincy Brown brought the clothes to life in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Showcasing each iteration in two entirely different landscapes, the BAPE x Coach collaboration is a true fusing of each brand’s respective heritage.
