Coldplay Announces Their Return with an Upcoming Album
The British rock band’s hibernation is officially over.
Coldplay’s hiatus is officially over. Four years have passed since the renowned rock band’s last album release, and they just announced their grand return to the music world in an Instagram post featuring a letter to their fans written on a typewriter. “I and we hope wherever you are you’re ok,” the band begins. “For the last 100 years or thereabouts, we have been working on a thing called Everyday Life.” The group goes on to explain that their upcoming album is set to be released on November 22 as a double-track including two opposing installments, the first titled “sunrise” and the latter called “sunset”. After writing that their new music will be centered around their emotions towards matters of life, Coldplay signs off saying, “We send much love to you from hibernation,” followed by each member of the band’s names.
Earlier this week, the band posted a video to Instagram featuring a string composition’s melancholy cadence coupled with a photo of the group and text reading “November 22, 1919”, alluding directly to the band’s letter stating they have worked on the album for “100 years or thereabouts”. The group consisting of lead vocalist and pianist Chris Martin, guitarist Jonny Buckland, bassist Guy Berryman, and drummer Will Champion is strategically crafting a buzz surrounding their November album release, and it’s certainly making fans go wild.
