Media company Condé Nast announced their first International CEO and replacement of Bob Saurberg who held his position for 18 years. On April 22, the previous CEO of Sling and Pandora Radio for short terms, Roger Lynch, will be taking over in the merge of US-based Conde Nast and it's international companies.
Lynch has no magazine experience, but board member Jonathan Newhouse is optimistic about his leadership skills. "After conducting a thorough search for an executive to run the combined Condé Nast U.S. and Condé Nast International, we believe Roger is the right person to lead Condé Nast during our new phase of global integration, growth and transformation," he said.
With the increasing decline of print and rush to digitize, many have criticized Condé Nast and Saurberg's reluctance to adapt to these ways and have only in recent years switched some print completely over to online versions. As for the changes that Lynch will bring, we will have to wait and see.
