Converse and A-COLD-WALL* are back with another collaboration as part of their ongoing partnership. Their prior releases entailed apparel and footwear focused capsule collection, which saw A-COLD-WALL* Founder and Creative Director Samuel Ross’ take on the Chuck Taylor All Star Lugged and ERX and two tracksuits, a Converse shoe debut as part of A-COLD-WALL*’s Fall/Winter 2022 collection, and more.

Now, the two will premiere their Aeon Active CX. Consisting of a new sneaker design in two striking colorways, it fuses Ross’ aesthetic and Converse’s innovative CX comfort technology. Its conceptualization is rooted in Ross’ vision for his brand, which mirrors London’s subculture and hegemonic disparities via an unconventional contemporary lens. When creating this sneaker, the designers gained influence from the running space and approached its style from this perspective.

The sneakers feature suede and leather overlays; classic Converse rounded lines, and Samuel Ross signatures: subversive graphic prints and a translucent outsole. Its mechanizations include an elastic stretch bootie and combo mesh upper that provides fit, breathability, and an enlarged heel kick and TPU heel wedge that allows one to put it on quickly and take it off. The shoe’s CX foam located in its underfoot and Crater foam midsole comprises approximately 12 percent of recycled materials from the factory floor to create a lightweight feel and sustainable all-day comfort.

Converse and A-COLD-WALL* Aeon Active CX in Micro Chip/Healing Jade/Black will be available for purchase today at 16:00 BST on A-Cold-Wall*’s official website and on Converse’s April 12th.

Converse and A-COLD-WALL* Aeon Active CX in Black/Black/Apple Green is set to release on May 8th on A-Cold-Wall*’s official website with a larger release on Converse.com with availability in select retailers on May 12th.
