Inspired by Chuck Taylor’s philosophy of designing unisex attire, Converse announced their first genderless apparel collection titled “SHAPES.” These garments utilize body shapes as a reference tool — not gender identities — and will be released in Summer 2020.
Similar to Converse’s footwear, SHAPES defies gender norms by conveying collective silhouettes for both sexes. The baggy, all-black ensembles emphasize Converse’s intentions of an unbiased perspective for this season. Consisting of five pieces, SHAPES provides modern consumers a combination of inclusivity and comfort through gender-neutral designs; only four sizes will be offered within this collection.
