Converse Releases All Star Pride 2021 Collection

LGBTQIA+ Converse All Stars members work to create a Pride collection meant for those who celebrate next month

For Converse’s sixth Pride campaign, they have worked with a group of All-Stars to create a new product collection by and for the LGBTQIA+ community.

As Converse continues to grow the voices of diverse creatives, five members of the global All-Star community worked with over 50 LGBTQIA+ Converse teammates and allies to create the collection. Using their individual stories about Pride, Converse created a graphically driven collection.

One pair from the Converse All-Star Pride campaign called Pride Run Star Hike is an all-white high top with a gradient rainbow pull tab, rainbow hiker laces, and rainbow color-blocked outsole that make Pride fashionable and modern. Another pair of shoes is a color explosion with two separate designs both on the medial and lateral side, so the world can enjoy both creative designs. On the Converse All-Star, one side has colorful flowers, a blue sky, and fantasy-like sun while the side has a graphic structure design reminiscent of a rainbow mountain.

Since Converse’s first Pride collection in 2015, Converse has donated over $1.3 million in support of local and global LGBTQIA+ organizations. This year, a portion of the funding from Converse’s partnership with It Gets Better Project to support the project’s storytelling and education initiatives on TikTok and Twitch to empower LGBTQIA+ youth. Additional annual grants were announced with the collection and are benefitting Ali Forney Center, BAGLY , and OUT MetroWest.

The Converse Pride Collection is available now on Converse.com.
