Italian footwear label Courser just recently launched their new supercharged, performance shoe Hyper-luxe. Ready to tackle the shoe market from a new angle, the brand has created a shoe that promises to single-handedly “rebel against the norm” with its promising technology. 

The Hyper-luxe shoe features nubuck leather backed with strong fiber, a 100% carbon fiber plate, and a cushioned midsole/outsole with virtually no compression. The nubuck leather is reportedly 5x stronger than steel. Utilizing cutting-edge technologies and materials, it aims to optimize sneaker performance with better biomechanics than other sneakers currently in the market.

Courser prides itself in its production, using skilled craftsmen to hand produce these shoes in Italy. You can expect each pair to have a lightweight custom feel to it. While the footwear market is broken into either performance or luxury, Courser aims to combine both. 

But what makes these shoes really stand out? The impressive stats that follow the shoe’s composition. According to the footwear label, every pair lasts around 2,500 miles which rivals that of conventional sneakers that last 300-400 miles. The shape of the shoe itself is resistant to wear thanks to the unconventional materials, so that you can wear them day after day with no rebound. 

Courser was founded by Michael Petry and Laurie Spiro, who hold a rich resume in the fashion footwear industry growing brands such as Tumi, Prada, Adidas, Ralph Lauren, and The Frye Company. Spiro has also worked for Cole Haan. 

“It’s a moment in time where we take the sum of everything we’ve learned in a space where we saw opportunity,” said Spiro via a statement. “We are making the absolutely best performance sneaker we could. Most people design to a price point, but when you don’t think of what it costs, it’s liberating,” she continues. 

The Courser Uno is available in two colors for men and women with additional color drops to follow. Each pair retails for $825 and can be purchased on the label’s website. Check out the men’s shoes below:
