Cross Colours Celebrates Black History Month

The iconic streetwear brand is back with a clear message “Love Black Lives”

Founded in 1989, Cross Colors continues to honor its history of producing “clothing without prejudice” with its latest collection. The ’90s streetwear label has released a lineup of apparel and footwear, in celebration of Black History Month and their longstanding commitment to ending systematic racism.

Their new drop, promises graphic tees, a hoodie, sweatpants, shorts and slides, most arriving in black with colorful messages such as “unity through diversity,” and tie dye “power to the people” sets. Others arriving in red with the clenched fist symbol of Black liberation or branded with the name of the collection ‘Love Black Lives.’

Social messaging combined with bright color-blocked designs have always been central to Cross Colours. It is the original inclusive brand, as it brought to life in an effort to unite communities of color during the war on drugs, national unrest, combatting racial injustice and police brutality. Their mission stands just as tall today as it did over three decades ago.

Their signature baggy pants, oversized shirts are synonymous with ’80s and ’90s Black cult-favorite films and TV series including The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, In Living Color and Menace II Society, and found fans in Will Smith, Jamie Foxx, Raven-SymonĂ©, and Mary J.Blige. Now making its way into the mainstream with a younger and eclectic generation of celebrities such as Rihanna, Drake, Dua Lipa, Cardi B, Billie Eilish, Zoe Kravitz, and more.
