Curtis Waters Releases Music Video For “Shoe Laces”
“I’m full of doubts / I’m full of fears / Count up the tears / I keep on aging and aging and / Stacking up all of these years.”
Following up on the release of his debut album titledĀ Pity Party, Curtis Waters is here with an official music video for “Shoe Laces”, the opening track in the said record. Co-directed by Curtis and Vancouver based artist and animator Jovy Bergen, the colorful and imaginative video draws from the popular live-action/animated children’s series Blue’s Clues and cements the 20-year-old artist as the 2020 breakout star.
Though touching on harder topics like the all-consuming feeling of shame and contemplation of suicide, the single is still very upbeat and can be classified as a feel-good tune. “I’m full of doubts / I’m full of fears / Count up the tears / I keep on aging and aging and / Stacking up all of these years.”
