With Gucci pulling inspiration from archived ‘80s and ‘90s Dapper Dan designs for looks that stole the show in past runway seasons, it comes as no surprise that the fashion house is finally teaming up with the Harlem designer to tap into their inspiration, at the source. In a new collaborative collection, Gucci x Dapper Dan, the original copy-cat designer has created custom looks using (official) Gucci textiles and prints.

After being sued out of business by fashion houses for ripping off luxury logos, this collaborative collection represents a reshaping of Dapper Dan’s design legacy into the mainstream. Bringing the designer full circle, Gucci has given him full creative reign when it comes to utilizing design motifs and logos that are exclusive to Gucci’s brand. The collection, which originally was only available in store at their new Wooster Street location, has now been made available for purchase online and in store across the country. The collection is everything you’d imagine from Dapper Dan — outlandish gold leather, bold prints, and ‘80s inspired oversized logos.

Be sure to check out some looks from the collection below.
