Detroit Pistons Invite J.Cole to the NBA Tryouts

Is this really happening?!

J. Cole just received his first NBA tryout offer from the Detroit Pistons!

Earlier this week, the basketball team reached out to the Dreamville rapper via Twitter stating, “.@JColeNC we see you out here. You said they only got 12 slots on the Pistons. Hit us up for that tryout. This is for all the dreamers @bleacherreport #Dreamville.”

The invitation comes shortly after rapper Master P told TMZ that J. Cole might be training for the league. In the interview, Master P told Cole, “…this a different time we’re in. They’re going to pick you apart! You’re gonna have to be able to hit every shot and if you don’t hit every shot, they — you know in the NBA, they don’t hit every shot but they believe in them. So, you’re gonna have to go somewhere where the team really believes in you and the players believe in you.”

The two also recently worked together for a PUMA commercial, starring J. Cole who’s working hard on the basketball court, and Master P narrating the scene. In the 30-second clip, P hints, “I mean, what’s the odds? I know you got more sense in that, youngblood. Hold up, I think the homie really tryin’ to do it.”

This news may come as a surprise for fans, but in Cole’s defense, the rapper has been playing since high school and even tried out for St. John’s University, but instead chose to focus on his music career.
